The MSc Maritime Technology & Management (MTM) cohort recently came together for the Sixth NUS MTM Student Council election, with classmates volunteering to participate as both candidates and audience members.

A Collaborative Election

The election was hosted by Dr. Haobin LI and Ms. Gladys Koh, with the guidance and support of our Student Council Advisors, Phang Fu Chun and JINGDA DONG.

Each candidate introduced themselves, sharing their perspectives and hopes for contributing to the MTM community.

Student Voices Matter

Following the self-introductions, students cast their votes online. Based on the results, the six elected candidates then discussed and agreed on the most suitable responsibilities for each member.

Learning from Experience, Building for the Future

After the election, our advisors, Phang Fu Chun and JINGDA DONG, shared valuable experience, practical resources, and advice from previous MTM Student Councils. We also discussed our plans for the year ahead, bringing together different ideas and strengths to build a more connected and supportive MTM community.
