NUS Centre for Maritime Studies Signs MOU with Sino-Singapore Chongqing Connectivity Solutions Co., Ltd. (SSCCS) to Advance Maritime and Logistics Cooperation
Chongqing, 3 June 2025 – The Centre for Maritime Studies (CMS) of the National University of Singapore (NUS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sino-Singapore Chongqing Connectivity Solutions Co., Ltd. (SSCCS ) to deepen collaboration in maritime and logistics development. The signing ceremony took place at the Tenth Meeting of the Joint Implementation Committee of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, held in Chongqing.
The signing was witnessed by Singapore’s Minister for Digital Development and Information, Mrs Josephine Teo, Senior Minister of State Mr Tan Kiat How, Singapore’s Ambassador to China Mr Peter Tan, and Mayor of Chongqing Mr Hu Henghua.
Under this strategic partnership, CMS and SSCCS will collaborate in key areas including international maritime supply chains, multimodal logistics, and joint university-industry research. The MOU also outlines efforts to explore targeted internships and employment opportunities, facilitate youth exchanges between Singapore and China, and promote postgraduate programmes such as NUS’s Master of Science (MSc) in Maritime Technology and Management (MTM). The collaboration will further support the development of high-quality talent pipeline under the framework of the Sino-Singapore International Trade and Supply Chain Academy, co-established by SSCCS.

2025年6月3日,中新(重庆)战略性互联互通示范项目联合实施委员会第十次会议(The Tenth Meeting of the Joint Implementation Committee of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity)在重庆举行。在会后的签约仪式上,新加坡国立大学海事研究中心的代表,在新加坡数码发展及新闻部部长杨莉明、高级政务部长陈杰豪、新加坡驻中国大使陈海泉、以及重庆市长胡衡华的共同见证下,与中新互联互通(重庆)物流发展有限公司(Sino Singapore Chongqing Connectivity Solutions Co., Ltd)签署了合作备忘录。
双方同意共同聚焦国际海事供应链及多式物流领域,开展校企联合研究、定向实习和就业机会探索、加深新中青年交流、以及新加坡国立大学海事技术与管理等硕士项目的推荐合作,并在SSCCS联合发起的中新国际贸易与供应链产业学院框架下,推动中新示范项目人才孵化高质量发展。
